Was born in Londrina – Paraná – Brasil, begin his musical studies at the age of 13 at de Banda Marcial Marcelino Champagnat (Marcelino Champagnat Brass Band) with Trumpet Player Cicero Cordao. At 14 started to study the French Horn.
He has taken part in master classes with groups of chamber music such as Chicago Brass Quintet, Quinteto Brassil, Meridian Arts Ensemble and Quinteto de Sopros Ensemble XXI.
He has taken part in several musical festivals such as Festival de Musica de Londrina, Oficina de musica de Curitiba, Festival de Musica de Santa Catarina, where he studied with horn players like Zdenek Svab, Daniel Grabois, José Costa Filho, Michael Alpert, Jaime Ibanez, Luiz Garcia and Dale Clevenger.
He has performed under conductors such as Norton Morozowicz, Daniel Havens, Roberto Farias, Wagner Polistchuk, Osvaldo Ferreira and Edward Dolbashian(Missouri University Orchestra) among others.
He has performed as a special guest for Orquestra de Câmara de Blumenal-SC, under conductor Daniel Bortolossi and Orquestra Filarmonica de Curitiba under composer and conductor Rogerio Krieger.
In February 2004 he studied at the Missouri University with Dr. Marcia Spence where he played at the University Orchestra and Band and the Jeferson City Civic Orchestra. In the same year he won second place at the I concurso Jovens Solistas Premio Otonio Benbenuto and made his debut with the Orquestra Sinfonica da Universidade Estadual de Londrina playing the 3rd Mozart´s Horn Concert.
Marcelo taught French Horn at the I Festival de Musica de Palmas-PR.
Currently he is a member of the Orquestra Sinfonica da Universidade Estadual de Londrina, is the horn player of the Quinteto Metais do Parana(Brass Quintet) and studies music education at the Universidade Estadual de Londrina. His teacher is Samuel Hamzem.
